<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release agent which can reduce the lowering in the chargeability of a molding material in a mold, and can impart excellent releasability to the mold, and to provide a method for producing an amorphous metal molded body using the release agent. <P>SOLUTION: The release agent comprises ceramics particles 1 comprising ceramics particles 1 provided with an outer shell 11 with a curved face, which are composed of a plurality of flakes 12 which are obtained from layered metal oxide with a layered structure.
