<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve such a problem that it is necessary to form a photospacer, a projection for controlling orientation or a striped or island-shaped pattern on a color filter substrate, the number of steps required to complete the color filter substrate thus formed is increased, and consequently the production yield is decreased and the production cost is increased. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter substrate is provided with at least: colored pixels; a black matrix; and the photospacer and a transparent resin layer which are formed from the same and one resin composition.
