<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catheter for sampling blood which has a distal end hardly collapsed even when the inside of the catheter has a negative pressure caused by sucking blood. <P>SOLUTION: The catheter 10 includes a cylindrical catheter body 11 and a connector 12 provided at the proximal end. The catheter body 11 includes a distal end portion 13 for suctioning blood, a proximal end portion 14 connected to the connector, and a body portion 15 which connects them and has a diameter gradually reduced toward the distal end.
