PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the method of preventing a conventional gabion from deforming fails to prevent the front and the rear from deforming because it is intended mainly for reinforcing outer frames and that the gabion lacks mobility because it is not a modular type. SOLUTION: The modular gabion is intended for holding heavyweight objects such as stones. The modular gabion is a pentahedron in which the outside portions of a front wire net, a rear wire net, a right side wire net, a left side wire net and a bottom wire net which are made up of square lattice type wire nets where transverse bars and vertical bars are joined into the form of a lattice by using a detachable engagement means. The front wire net and the rear wire net, and the left side wire net and the right side wire net which face each other are connected so as to face and pull each other inward by supporting tools each having detachable engagement portions at both ends, and the bottom wire net is engaged by a four-legged chevron-shaped lifting tool having detachable engagement portions at the ends.
