<p>The distance warning device has an apparatus for determining the distance of an obstacle from a motor vehicle. A warning unit is provided for warning the driver during fall short of a predetermined border margin by a warning signal. The predetermined border margin is adjustable, where the border margin is adjusted by an adjusting device (1).
