<p>The method involves subjecting exhaust air and ozone to a catalysis treatment. The exhaust air is heated up to a temperature above 100 degree Celsius. A catalytic oxidation of contamination contained in the exhaust air is caused when dioxygen is contained in the exhaust air. The catalytic oxidation takes place at a processing temperature within a range of 100 to 200 degree Celsius. Process heat developing from the catalytic oxidation is used by a heat exchanger (10) for heating supplied exhaust air.</p>
