METHOD FOR ISOLATING HEPATITIS C VIRUS PEPTIDE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a T cell epitope peptide of hepatitis C virus (HCV) that is useful for producing a vaccine effective for preventing/treating hepatitis C.

SOLUTION: The T cell epitope peptide of HCV is obtained by: contacting a HCV-peptide pool with a MHC/HLA molecule on a human T cell so as to form a complex; detecting the complex; and screening the same based on binding affinity to the MHC/HLA molecule. A method for isolating the complex comprising the HCV peptide and the MHC/HLA molecule is also provided. A vaccine for preventing HCV infection comprises the peptide.
