PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust collector capable of easily dropping down dust deposited on a filter device. SOLUTION: In the dust collector 1 having a motor 4, a dust collecting fan 5, a housing 2 housing the motor and the dust collection fan, the filter device 7 attached to the housing 2 and a dust case 3 provided detachably to cover the filter device 7 in the housing 2 and collecting the dust sucked by the dust collecting fan 5 in the front side of the filter device 7, a projecting part 9 into contact with the filter device 7 is provided on the inner wall of the dust case 3. The projecting part 9 is structured so as to relatively move while coming into contact with the filter device 7 when the dust case 3 is attached and detached from the housing 2 and the dust deposited on the filter device 7 is removed only by attaching and detaching the dust case 3.
