OPTICAL CONNECTOR WITH ASSEMBLY MEMBER, METHOD OF ASSEMBLING THE SAME, AND OPTICAL CONNECTOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector with an assembly member, reducing the pressing load of a fiber to a film and preventing fiber projection more than required. SOLUTION: This optical connector 100 is equipped with: a coating removing section 13 for removing coating of an optical fiber with coating inserted into a fiber through-hole 27 formed through a ferrule 21; and a deflection space 11 for deflecting the optical fiber with coating into a predetermined shape. A fiber through-hole 35 opening in a tip surface 21a of the ferrule 21 is covered, and a transparent body 15 is stuck to it. The assembly member 17 is disposed in the deflection space 11 insertably/removably. The assembly member 17 is formed in a structure of changing the size of the deflection space 11.
