PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption by lighting or flickering of a lamp while maintaining a lamp function and to reduce the cases that a user feels bothered when lighting or flickering of the lamp comes in sight of the user, in a network device with a lamp visible from the outside. SOLUTION: The network device includes a lamp display unit having a display mode and a putting-out mode, and a lamp mode setter performing setting of the display mode or the putting-out mode for the lqamp display unit. In the lamp mode setter, in the display mode, when the prescribed conditions that cause a user to need to see the lamp are not satisfied within the prescribed time, the lamp display unit is set to the putting-out mode (S40:NO), in the putting-out mode, when the prescribed conditions are satisfied, the lamp display mode is set to the display unit (S70:YES).
