METHOD OF MANUFACTURING MEMBRANE ELECTRODE ASSEMBLY, AND METHOD OF MANUFACTURING FUEL CELL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacture of a fuel cell by suitably performing transcription to an electrolyte film of an electrode catalyst layer in a method of manufacturing a membrane electrode assembly.

SOLUTION: In the method of manufacturing the membrane electrode assembly, the electrode catalyst layer formed on a substrate is heat-compressed by coming in contact with the electrolyte film, and the substrate is exfoliated from the electrode catalyst layer by making separation treatment for easily exfoliating the substrate from the electrode catalyst layer by making use of a difference of expansion coefficients between an electrolyte resin contained in the electrode catalyst layer and the substrate.
