<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the generation of noise and vibration due to tooth hammer. <P>SOLUTION: When determining that the sign of the output torque of a motor 3 is changed at the time of output of request torque, a vehicle controller 13 carries out the following processing: when the output torque of the motor 3 gets into a fluctuating torque range, it changes the output torque at a higher rate of change than the rate of change before entry into the fluctuating torque range. As a result, it is possible to suppress the occurrence of deviation between a change in the angular speed of the motor 3 and a change in the angular speed of front wheels 2a, 2b due to torque fluctuation.
