PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk device for obtaining a stable reproduction signal with simple control. SOLUTION: An optical disk having a plurality of recording layers in a thickness direction has recording regions for recording a data repetition signal where an nT ((n) is an integer of 2 or above and T is a bit period) mark and an nT space are repeated in the same radius positions of a plurality of the recording layers. The mutually different data repetition signals are recorded in the recording regions of the respective recording layers. At the time of disk loading, an optimum focus position adjusting operation of a laser beam and an optimum recording power value setting operation on the recording layers are performed. Then, the data repetition signal is recorded in the recording region and a leaking amount of the data repetition signal from the other recording layer is measured. COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT
