PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive piercing-type moisture quantity measuring sensor capable of measuring a moisture quantity in a plant or the like directly and stably at site. SOLUTION: This moisture quantity measuring sensor includes: a needle-shaped probe body 20 pierceable into, for example, a measuring object (plant 6); a water-insoluble polymer water-sensitive material (PES 24) formed on the outside surface thereof, and used for absorption and separation of moisture, whose impedance is changed corresponding to the moisture quantity; and an electrode 26 for detecting an impedance of the polymer water-sensitive material.
