PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcement method for a brick wall easy in construction, capable of preventing a structural material from being exposed in an outside appearance and an inside appearance, and capable of exhibiting a high reinforcement effect. SOLUTION: This reinforcement method for the brick wall is a method for reinforcing the existing brick wall 10, by burying a horizontal reinforcing material 14 and a vertical reinforcing material 15 comprising a fiber reinforced plastic rod, into joints 12, 13 of the existing brick wall 10, and includes a process for forming a horizontal groove 20 along a horizontal joint 12, and for forming a vertical groove 21 shallower than the horizontal groove 20 along a vertical joint 13, a process for laying the horizontal reinforcing material 14 in the horizontal groove 20, after applying a filler 18 in a bottom of the horizontal groove 20, a process for laying a nonbending part 15a of the vertical reinforcing material 15 in the vertical groove 21, under the condition where a bending part 15b formed in the end of the vertical reinforcing material 15 is laid along the horizontal reinforcing material 14, after applying the filler 18 in a bottom of the vertical groove 21, and a process for sealing the horizontal groove 20 and the vertical groove 21, by filling the filler 18 into the horizontal groove 20 and the vertical groove 21.
