PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry a pinion gear into a differential case by a simple mechanism without interfering with the edge of an opening of the differential case. SOLUTION: A guide 31 holding the pinion gear C is held while permitting movement thereof in a vertical direction. Thereby, when the pinion gear C is carried in from the opening A1 of the differential case A and is brought into contact with one side gear B, the pinion gear C is pressed down by the reaction force received from the side gear B. Therefore, the pinion gear C can be carried in from a position where it is offset upward from a predetermined position to be installed, and the pinion gear C can be arranged at the predetermined position by pressing down the pinion gear C by bringing it into contact with the side gear B, thereby attaching the pinion gear C without interfering with the differential case A.
