The invention relates to equipment for crushing, grinding or activation of raw materials prior to use, in which processing consists in repeated compaction of thick material layer by rolling it by a roll and subsequent loosening the layer by a knife. A drum-roll unit of continuous action is designed in such a manner that it contains a horizontal rotary drum mounted on a frame with a roll and a knife mounted therein, also inside the drum in the area upstream of the roll a guide apparatus is located which consists of separate flexible elements arranged on two axles mounted one above other, one of which is immovably fixed to the frame, and the second axle is installed with possibility of displacement along the drum together with corresponding areas of flexible elements, whereas the distance between the flexible elements does not exceed 200 mm, and the distance between the axles along vertical line is 0.4 ÷ 0.6 of drum radius. Such an embodiment of the invention can improve performance of the unit by increasing intensive mutual friction of mixture particles by rolling thick layer under the roll and reduce the expense of required number of rolling. |
