PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adjusting method that allows a cutting pattern to be projected on a sheet material supported on a cutting table while allowing adjustment of the cutting pattern in the state of being projected on the sheet material and facilitates adjustment of the cutting pattern to be projected to a real scale even when a plurality of the sheet materials are overlapped. SOLUTION: A cloth 7 is arranged on a support face 21 of a cutting table 2. Cutting patterns 74, 75 and a grid are projected by a projector 5 while a marker line 81 extending in a Y-axis direction is projected by a laser marker 6. The projection position of the cutting patterns 74, 75 and the grid is adjusted such that a constituent line Y1 in the Y-axis line of the grid is aligned with the marker line 81. Then, a plurality of the clothes 7 are overlapped on the single cloth 7. The size of the cutting patterns 74, 75 projected on the uppermost cloth 7 is changed by the thickness of the clothes 7. The projection reduction scale of the cutting patterns 74, 75 and the grid is adjusted such that the constituent line Y1 of the grid is aligned with the marker line 81 projected on the uppermost cloth 7.
