<p>An adjusting device for making fine adjustments to a piece of apparatus, in particular an optical device such as a range finder or telescopic sight. A rotary adjustor (16)has a cylindrical surface onto which can be wound a tape(20) carrying indicia (34). The adjustor has a fitting (13)to engage a rotatable adjusting member of the telescopic sight or other device to which the adjusting device (10)is fitted. Indicia (34)are provided along the length of the tape, which is sufficiently long to require multiple turns of the adjustor (16)to display all the indicia, which thus indicate the rotational position of the rotary adjustor and the number of turns made. This makes it easier for a user to keep track of adjustments made to the device.</p> |
