PURPOSE: A polymer optical waveguide based optical temperature sensor for measuring accurate temperature is provided to measure the temperature by using the thermo optical effect of the polymer material. CONSTITUTION: A polymer cladding is formed into a polymer waveguide core. The refractivity of the polymer waveguide core is lower than the refractivity of the polymer cladding. The polymer cladding prevents the leakage of the light through the polymer waveguide. A reflective mirror is attached to one side of a glass mirror, the polymer waveguide core, and the polymer cladding. The reflective mirror reflects the light according to the polymer waveguide core.
