PURPOSE: A method for estimating the sales in a trading area is provided to enable a corresponding franchise to indirectly estimate an M/S(Market Share) within a market by predicting the gross sales of a certain business within a business district. CONSTITUTION: The sale data necessary for sale prediction are stored in a database(S302), and a sales influence variable within a corresponding business district is stored in the database(S303). Based on the sales influence variable stored in the database, a sales estimation equation is generated(S304). Through the created sales estimation equation, the gross sales in the corresponding business district is estimated(S305). Coefficients are set up for each sales influence variable so that the sales estimation equation may be created. |
