<p>The method involves acquiring a preparation setpoint of an ophthalmic lens. Functions necessary for preparing the lens are inferred from the setpoint. Verification is made whether the indicator shows that a verified function is available. The lens is prepared if the verified function is available. Preparation of the lens using the functions comprising the verified function is interrupted or stopped and preparation of another lens using functions that do not comprise the verified function is carried out, if the verified function is not available. An independent claim is also included for a device for preparing an ophthalmic lens to mount the lens on a frame of spectacles, comprising a contour reading apparatus.</p> |
