METHOD AND APPARATUS FOR MONITORING CONTROL CHANNEL IN MULTIPLE CARRIER SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A method for monitoring a control channel in a multiple carrier wave system is provide to differ the size of the specific terminal search space differentially according to the CCE(Control Channel Element) combination level, thereby increasing the flexibility of scheduling. CONSTITUTION: A plurality of specific terminal search spaces corresponding to each scheduled element carrier wave is determined in control area within a subframe. A DL CC about the scheduled element carrier wave is monitored. A DL control information about the scheduled element carrier wave is received on a decoded DL CC. Based on information about the scheduled element, the start point about each specific terminal search space is determined.
