PURPOSE: A filtering rod with a harmful gas removing unit and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to drastically reduce loss of pressure, thereby increasing efficiency of removing a harmful gas. CONSTITUTION: A through hole is formed by combining both ends of a containing member(120). Air passes the through hole. The containing member is made of a bendable material. A support rod(110) is inserted into the through hole. Both ends of the support rod are exposed. A binding member(130) closely contacts both ends of the containing member with the support rod. A plurality of harmful gas removing units(140) is inserted between the containing member and the support rod.
