<p>PURPOSE: An air conditioning control system and method for a railway vehicle are provided to implement independent control applying different reference values according to rush hour, temperature, humidity, the load of a passenger room, or carbon dioxide concentration in a passenger room. CONSTITUTION: An air conditioning control system for a railway vehicle comprises a temperature sensing unit(132), a real time clock(140), a passenger room controller(110), and a load sensing unit(134). The temperature sensing unit is installed in each passenger room of a railway vehicle and senses the temperature of each passenger room. The real time clock offers information on the current time. The passenger room controller controls the operation of air conditioning facilities by comparing the current temperature with a reference temperature, wherein the reference temperature is raised or lowered according to whether the current time is in the rush hours or not. The load sensing unit is installed in each passenger room of the railway vehicle and senses the load of each passenger room.</p> |
