<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device/method for retrieval capable of speedily retrieving a video desired by a user although the date, time, etc., when the video is recorded are not known. SOLUTION: A plurality of videos recorded at different positions within a medium are reproduced at regular time intervals and at regular recording position intervals and unified to a single picture to be outputted to a video display device as multi-divided videos. The user selects one video from the multi-divided videos. With the date and time of the selected video as a base point, the video is reproduced again at new intervals narrowed compared with the interval so that the video is updated to a new multi-divided video. The desired video is retrieved by repeating this operation.</p> |
