STRUCTURE OF EFFICIENT SIGNALING MAC HEADER IN A BROADBAND WIRELESS ACCESS SYSTEM

PURPOSE: A structure of an effective signaling header in a wide band wireless access system is provided to sue a MAC signaling header, thereby performing the communication more effectively. CONSTITUTION: A transmitter generates a MAC PDU(Protocol Data Unit) including a MAC(Medium Access Control) header. The MAC PDU is transmitted to a receiving end. A MAC header comprises a first flow identifier field, an extended header field and length field. The extended header field directs whether the extended header is accompanied with the MAC PDU or not. If the MAC header is a signaling header, the first flow identifier field is instituted as a definite value.
