PURPOSE: A method for screening a material having activity of preventing or treating amyloid-relating neurodegenerative diseases is provided to effectively select the material which suppresses or blocks amyloid fibrosis. CONSTITUTION: A method for screening a material having activity of preventing or treating amyloid-relating neurodegenerative diseases comprises: a step of treating a compound of chemical formula 1 to alpha-synuclein; a step of treating a candidate; a step of measuring amyloide fibrosis in an incubation mixture; and a step of selecting a material which suppresses or blocks amyloid fibrosis. The compound of chemical formula 1 is 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide.
