PURPOSE: A non-contact type storing and holding method of workpieces and a non-contact type storing and holding device are provided to prevent lubricating oil or cut scraps from being scattered from workpieces. CONSTITUTION: A non-contact type storing and holding device for workpieces comprises a chamber case(4). A low pressure chamber(24) and a high pressure chamber(23) are formed inside the case. An intake hole, connected to the lower pressure chamber, and an exhaust hole, connected to the high pressure chamber, are formed on the bottom of the chamber case. The low pressure chamber and the high pressure chamber connect to the intake unit and the exhaust unit. The intake unit is operated, the internal pressure of the low pressure chamber is reduced, and then a workpiece(8) sucks up with the air intake of the intake hole.
