PURPOSE: A method and a device for processing number movement are provided to process a call for number movement. CONSTITUTION: A communication unit receives an initial address message from another network switch. An analysis unit extracts incoming route information and prefix information from the initial address message. A controller determines whether to transmit a number movement information request signal according to the incoming route information and the prefix information. A mobile communication system includes a self network switch(110), a home location register(120), a number movement database(130), and another network switch.
