<p>PURPOSE: A Japanese character input system and a method thereof using a touch screen for minimizing the movement of touch are provided to efficiently input the Japanese character by simple touch and movement by reducing the touch and the movement minimally. CONSTITUTION: A key setting unit(200) partitions an input area into several key areas or sets up an area especially distinguished by the key. A touch signal input unit(300) obtains touch coordinates and a touch state. A Japanese character determiner(400) determines an input Japanese character according to the direction of the movement and the coordinates until the touch is terminated.</p> |
