PURPOSE: An efficient protection switching method in consideration of network division in a multi Ethernet ring network is provided to enable a shared node to effectively circulate photo flush or flush trigger messages in a network when a network is divided, thereby effectively performing protection-switching even though the network is divided. CONSTITUTION: A multi ring network is composed of an upper ring and a lower ring. Each ring includes a closed link. The multi ring network includes a tree structure without a loop. Each ring includes a ring protection link, an RPL(Ring Protection Link) owner, and an RPL node. Each ring deactivates one link included in a ring using a closed link method to make the link virtually not exist.
