摘要 The present invention refers to the development of a neuronavigator prototype of a frameless infrared-based stereotactic equipment, which has been accurately designed at a low cost and with a capture and monitoring system for the construction of an image-guided surgery system using an infrared view with multiple cameras, also including IEEE-1394 networks and efficient view algorithms for the positioning in real time and the monitoring of movement. Describe are the methodology for setting up the 3D motion sensor, from the arrangement of the cameras and the IR emitters on surgical instruments, to triangulation equations from stereo camera pairs, high bandwidth computer communication with the cameras and real time image processing algorithms. The present study may be the base for the construction at large scale of image-guided systems useful in different disciplines for improving surgical results and reduce technical hitches, the same maintaining a low cost. The present invention may all ow a model of a unique use neuronavigator to be created at large scale, at an ultralow cost and with a potential industrial use.
