PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for managing a base station are provided to efficiently control an area overlapped with the coverage of base station cells adjacent to a corresponding base station cell when the coverage of a specific base station cell is changed. CONSTITUTION: A base station managing device(302) comprises a receiving unit(304) and a controller(306). The base station managing device is connected to BTS(Base Transceiver Station)s to manage a base station. Each base station has an adjacent base station list per a base station. The receiving unit receives signal intensity of an adjacent base station registered in an adjacent base station list of a fixed base station.
