FIELD: machine building. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves application to the liner surface of anti-friction coating from babbit to the surface of which there applied is coating from indium or stannum by method of electroerosive alloying at discharge energies of 0.01-003 J. At application of coating from indium or stannum there formed is surface layer up to 130 or 100 mcm thick respectively, with microhardness which is lower than microhardness of the base, and free from solid SnSb square-shaped inclusions. ^ EFFECT: method allows improving reliability and service life of plain bearings. ^ 2 cl, 2 dwg
