FIELD: metallurgy. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves supply of metal charge to furnace, melting, addition of rusty dolomite to molten charge, oxidation period, steel tapping so that some part of metal and slag is left in furnace. Addition of rusty dolomite to molten metal charge is performed in portions of 300Ç500 kg in quantity of 5Ç15 kg/t per 80Ç90% of the main oxidation period till magnesium oxide in slag is within 8Ç10%. ^ EFFECT: increasing resistance of lining of arc-type steel-making furnaces, improving slag mode of steel making and increasing the metal yield. |
