摘要 FIELD: chemistry. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for synthesis of methyl ether of 5-acetyl-2-furan carboxylic acid, which is used as a starting compound in synthesis of pharmaceutical preparations. The method for synthesis of methyl ether of 5-acetylfuran-2-carboxylic acid of formula is characterised by that 2-acetylfuran reacts with CCl4 and methanol in an autoclave under argon in the presence of a catalyst selected from a group comprising ferrocene (Fe(C5H5)2), tris(2,4-pentanedionato)iron (Fe(acac)3), iron bromide (FeBr2) in molar ratio [catalyst]:[2-acetylfuran]:[CCl4]:[methanol]=1:100:100-200:200-2000, at temperature 120C for 6-9 hours. Output of methyl ether of 5-acetyl-2-furan carboxylic acid can be 87-95% depending on the nature of the catalyst used. ^ EFFECT: high yield. ^ 1 tbl, 19 ex
