FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to computed tomography, and can be used for estimated functional result of therapy following total hip replacement. The initial CT scan level is set on the iliac crest. A derived transverse section is analysed to determine the area and density for the healthy and involved gluteus maximus, gluteus medius and gluteus minimus muscles and iliac muscles. An atrophy coefficient (AC) and its postoperative drop 6 months later are calculated and compared to the preoperative values, if increasing more than by 0.2, an additional objective criterion of the positive functional result of total hip replacement is observed, while dropping less than by 0.1 is considered to be a prognostic of probable instability of endoprosthesis components developing. ^ EFFECT: method is minimally invasive, allows estimating the ratio of muscular changes in osteoarthrosis development, and dynamics of their restoration after total replacement, and predicting probable instability of endoprosthesis components developing. ^ 3 dwg, 1 ex |
