The method involves detecting a movement direction of a vehicle using a detection unit, and measuring a distance separating the vehicle from an obstacle along the detected movement direction of the vehicle using radar. A visual signal is activated, where the signal indicates inability to open an opening frame i.e. tailgate, when the measured distance is lower than or equal to threshold providing possibility to open the opening frame. An independent claim is also included for a system for assisting a vehicle during parking. |
