PURPOSE: A compression image division decoding display device for easily performing the operation of a terminal by the reduction of the waste of a memory is provided to reduce the waste of the memory by decoding the entire compression image by a small buffer memory. CONSTITUTION: A controller(14) deciphers data as set division unit from a storage medium. The controller decodes the data by the control of an image decoder(12). The controller performs the downscaling of the decoded image by the control of an image scaler(15). A screen output unit(17) displays the image data stored in an image output buffer(16) on an image output screen of the terminal.
