<p>PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to enhance the user convenience since a lid is automatically opened/closed when an auxiliary washing unit opens/closes. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine comprises a cabinet, an auxiliary washing unit(200) and an automatic opening/closing member(300). The cabinet forms a frame. The auxiliary washing unit is detachably installed on the lower part of the cabinet and comprises a lid(220) for adding the laundry and a tub for holding the laundry. The automatic opening/closing member opens/closes the lid in a sliding manner when the auxiliary washing unit opens/closes. The automatic opening/closing member comprises a sliding block(310), a sliding protrusion(320) and a tension spring(330). The sliding block is connected to the auxiliary washing unit and comprises a slot. The sliding protrusion is inserted into the slot and moves along the slot when the lid opens/closes. The tension spring elastically supports the lid with respect to the auxiliary washing unit.</p> |
