PURPOSE: A dial up modem type credit card payment system for saving call costs and a method thereof are provided to supply a detour network in accessing a VAN payment server for credit card payment, thereby saving call costs. CONSTITUTION: An intelligent network exchange detects a CID(Caller's Identification) of a credit card payment terminal(320). If the CID exists in a database CID field of a database server, the intelligent network exchange calls a VAN(Value Added Network) payment server by a long-distance call number mapped on a payment server receiving number of the same record(340,350). If A call of the VAN payment server is successfully connected, the intelligent network exchange forms a call route by connection with the credit card payment terminal(360~380). |
