The device has a closing cord (10) provided with a self-retaining slide (9) that facilitates opening of star and installation of the star. The cord is slid in holes at ends of branches of the star to maintain an unfolded star. The cord is fixed inside the star by nodes (11) at each end of the cord and passes in the slide. Bonded portions i.e. adhesive surfaces (12), are placed inside the folded star for joining the different branches, where the star is closed around an electric lamp so as to illuminate the lamp.
