<p>Provided is a dentition correcting device (10), in which a dentition correcting attachment (11) forms an engaging portion (17) on the side portion of an arch wire slot (16). A dentition correcting cap (13) includes an engaging portion receiver (22), which covers the dentition correcting attachment (11) all over the arch wire slot (16) and which can be retained by the engaging portion (17) in a direction perpendicular to the mesio-distal direction of an arch wire (12). When the arch wire is to be retained in the arch wire slot of the dentition correcting attachment, the arch wire is retained through the dentition correcting attachment by the dentition connecting cap so that the frictional resistance between the arch wire and the arch wire slot can be reduced. In the dentition correcting device and the method for mounting/demounting the dentition correcting cap, moreover, the dentition correcting attachment and the arch wire are covered with the dentition correcting cap so that an aesthetic appearance can be presented and so that the dentition correcting cap can be easily mounted on and demounted from the dentition correcting attachment.</p> |
