PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet conveyance device capable of preventing the detection accuracy of a detection means from lowering and also provide an image forming device.

SOLUTION: A pressing roller 85 which is provided so as to face a guide member 86 forming a sheet conveyance path 8 for conveying sheets and pressing the sheets on a position to be detected by a sheet discrimination sensor unit 83 is held by a rotating member 81 movable between a pressing position where the sheets are pressed by the pressing roller 85 and a pressing release position where the pressing of the sheets by the pressing roller 85 is released. The rotating member 81 is moved from the pressing position to the pressing releasing position by a pressing reduction arm 82 which projects into the sheet conveyance path further on the downstream side in the sheet conveyance direction than the detection position to be detected by the sheet discrimination sensor unit 83 and is pressed by the sheets passing through the sheet conveyance path 8.
