摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy storage device capable of high-speed charging/discharging and has a high output, large capacity, and superior repeated charging/discharging lifetme characteristics, despite its using a non carbon material as the negative electrode active material. SOLUTION: The energy storage device 1 includes a positive electrode collector 11; a positive electrode 10 which is arranged on the positive electrode collector 11 and contains positive electrode active material, capable of adsorbing/desorbing at least anions in a reversible manner; a negative electrode collector 13; a negative electrode 12, which is arranged on the negative electrode collector 13 and is made from the negative electrode active material, capable of substantially stroring and releasing lithium ions in a reversible manner, being a thin film whose thickness is 20μm or less; and an electrolyte containing fluorinated carbonic acid ester. The negative electrode active material contains at least one among silicon, silicon-contained alloy, and silicon oxide, with lithium being stored in the negative electrode active material, in advance.
