PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rapidly set a volatile liquid in a volatilizing state while saving a time and labor when it is used. SOLUTION: A volatile liquid spreading apparatus 1 includes: a container 2 filled with the volatile liquid W; an inserting cylinder 3 mounted to the opening part 11 of the container and inserted into the container; a movable body 4 which is movable downward and stored in the inserting cylinder so that the proximal end is projected to the outside of the container, and is provided with a blade 30a at the tip positioned at the bottom 22 side of the inserting cylinder; a suck-up core 5 held by the movable body and sucking up the volatile liquid to the outside of the container and volatilizing it; and a cover body 6 having a peripheral wall 40 which can be lowered in the container axis O direction and a top wall 41. In the volatile liquid spreading apparatus 1, the movable body moves downward while lowering the cover body, and at least a part of the bottom of the inserting cylinder is opened by the blade to make the inside of the inserting cylinder communicate with the inside of the container, and to suck up the volatile liquid and to make the liquid reach the core.
