PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To maintain the synchronization of the file of a shared document between a document providing device and a terminal, and to leave the file of the shared document erased by the document providing device in the terminal. SOLUTION: A file management device 50 erases a shared file erased by a terminal device 10B from its own memory. Also, the shared file erased by the file management device 50 is erased from the terminal device 10B. When terminal device 10A tries the synchronization of the shared file with the file management device 50, a user is made to select whether to erase the shared file stored in the terminal device 10A, and erased by the terminal device 10B and the file management device 50 or to leave the shared file in the terminal device 10A. When the user selects erasing the shared file, the shared file is erased from the terminal device 10A, and when the user selects leaving the shared file, the shared file erased by the file management device 50 and the terminal device 10B is excluded from the target of synchronization, and stored.
