<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve a gesture operation without depending on a touch panel. <P>SOLUTION: Electrostatic side touch sensors 21-1 to 21-4 are arranged on the upper sides, lower side, right side, and left side of mobile terminal equipment 11, respectively. When the finger of a user or the like is brought into contact with the electrostatic side touch sensor 21, the contact is detected in such configurations that the capacitance of the electrostatic side touch sensor 21 is changed. On the basis of the contact position of the finger detected by the electrostatic side touch sensor 21, a gesture operation is detected. Then, interaction processing corresponding to the gesture operation is executed.
