PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance responsiveness when opening a valve element, in an exhaust flow passage control valve having a valve element for opening-closing an exhaust flow passage formed in a housing and a valve spring for energizing this valve element in the closing direction, and opening the exhaust flow passage when pressure of exhaust gas flowing in the exhaust flow passage exceeds a predetermined value. SOLUTION: The valve element 31 seating on a valve seat 30a of the housing 30 of the exhaust flow passage control valve, has an exhaust gas receiving part 31a of a recessed shape toward a flow of the exhaust gas.
